March League shoot this Sunday

Our March ANZ League shoot is scheduled for this Sunday afternoon. With a full shooting calendar elsewhere, we were only able to furnish an entry for a single full team last month (plus a partial). Weather forecast is for a partly cloudy 26 degrees on Sunday. Lets try for a full entry this Sunday. See you there.

Attn: Kids and Beginners

For all kids, and beginners. Do not forget that this saturday is the 600 shoot at the club. This competition is made for beginners, and kids, it is free, and it is a good practice, and you can earn achievement pins as well. The shoot starts at 1:30, be there by 1pm. More details at the JAMA board in the clubhouse, or ask me.

League Shoot Reminder

This Sunday is scheduled as our first attempt at the February League  competition.
With luck the weather will be somewhat improved by then.
We were able to submit all three teams for the January round with some  good (and improving) scores.
Hope to see all who have not left the city there – 1pm registration for  1:30 start.
Regards Brian

Sunday club league shoot

With this weekend having no formal external competition events scheduled, the Club League Shoot for December/January period will be held this Sunday. Standard ANZ League Canadian 900 with registration at 1pm and shooting to start at 1:30. Hope to see as many members there as possible.

Massey Safari & NZ Longbow Championship

Hi Everyone
This is a reminder to register now before it’s too late and you miss out on the opportunity to win the Pre-Registration Prize. This is Massey Archery Club’s Premier event for the year and I would encourage archers, to register for this 2 day event. It’s a new course layout this year and we think you’ll have fun shooting it.

You can get your entry forms online at our website, it’s hard to miss the poster on the front page. You can click on the poster or go to the events tab on the Massey Archery Club website and find it that way
You can click on the link at the bottom of this email

There are some changes to the format and to way the Safari & Longbow Championship  will be run this year.
Over the next few emails, that I’ll be sending out for the safari, I will highlight the significant changes which we think will make for an exciting event.

2 Arrow or 3 Arroow Round?
1. For all Recurve and Compound shooters it will be a 2 Arrow shoot.
If your first arrow does not score you have a second shot.
2. Longbow archers will be shooting from thier own designated peg.
It will be the usual 3 arrow round for them.

It is a two arrow round to help maintain movement about the course. 3 arrows for Longbow as they are competing in the NZ LongbowChampionship.

Shoot Tight Everyone
