Youth Archery
Shore Archery Club runs a weekly shoot just for our youth (or junior archers).
It is a great starting place for new archers as we shoot from shorter distances and offer coaching to increase your skills.
Shore Archery encourages our youth archers to compete in local, district and national competitions.
Days/Times
Youth archers shoot at Shore Archery Club on Saturday mornings from 10am until 11.30am.
You are also MOST WELCOME to join the club shoots in the afternoons on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Archery NZ
All our members belong to Archery NZ, which means all youth are automatically included in the monthly youth inter-club challenge shoots, and the inter-school shoots as well.
The results are published on the Archery NZ website so you can see how you are doing against others in your age group.
The rounds are shot at various ranges and are 6 ends of 6 arrows.
ADAA
All our members belong to the Auckland District Archery Association, which means all youth are automatically included in the ADAA Youth Fun Shoots, and this also means you can join in on the 600 Shoot each month for free, and participate in any ADAA tournament, like the target, indoor, field or clout championships.
Youth Age Groups
Youth Archers are all those who are aged Under 21 years of age.
There are 5 age groups in Archery NZ. If you are not sure what age group you fall into, go to the Archery NZ website to find out.
